# DocuSign

Connecting DocuSign to PYLO, what it brings and how to tell it is working.

DocuSign connects to PYLO so that:

- A lead's contract moves to sent, viewed and signed on its own as the envelope does, so nobody has to mark it by hand.
- Contracts sent and signed in a period, and the share signed.

## Connecting

DocuSign connects by an address PYLO gives you, which the tool posts to. Open Settings, then Integrations, then DocuSign.

1. Create the address below and copy it.
2. In DocuSign, open Settings, then Connect, and add a configuration. Paste the address as the URL, set the data format to JSON, tick Include Recipients, and tick the envelope events Sent, Delivered, Completed, Declined and Voided.
3. Send one envelope to a lead PYLO already has. This page says connected when its first event arrives.

**Before you start:** PYLO reads this platform's deliveries as its documentation describes them, and has not yet seen a live one. Send one test document after setting up, and check the lead's contract moves.

## What PYLO reads

- Each envelope's status: sent, viewed, signed, declined or voided
- The signers' email addresses, to find the lead

It does not read:

- The document itself
- Envelopes sent before the address was set up
- A signer who is not already a lead in PYLO
