# Mailchimp

Connecting Mailchimp to PYLO, what it brings and how to tell it is working.

Mailchimp connects to PYLO so that:

- Which of your Mailchimp audiences each lead is on, and how often they open and click, on the lead's page.
- How many of your leads read your emails at all, with both sides of the figure.

## Connecting

Mailchimp connects by an API key you paste into PYLO. Open Settings, then Integrations, then Mailchimp.

| API key | In Mailchimp, Profile, Extras, API keys: create a key. It ends in something like -us21. |

## What PYLO reads

- Audience members PYLO asks about by email: status, audience, average open and click rates

It does not read:

- Anyone PYLO does not already hold as a lead
- Campaign content
- Per-email opens and clicks
