# YouTube uploads

Connecting YouTube uploads to PYLO, what it brings and how to tell it is working.

YouTube uploads connects to PYLO so that:

- Every upload lands on the content scorecard with its views, so outliers and cadence are counted, not typed.
- Cash per video, where a lead's UTM content is the video's id.

## Connecting

YouTube uploads connects by an API key you paste into PYLO. Open Settings, then Integrations, then YouTube uploads.

| You provide | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| API key | Google Cloud console, APIs and services, Credentials. Switch on the YouTube Data API v3 for the project first. |
| Channel ID | YouTube Studio, Settings, Channel, Advanced settings. It starts with UC. |

## What PYLO reads

- Every public upload on the channel: its title, link, publish day and view count.

It does not read:

- Reach, click-through rate and average view percentage, which need the channel owner's YouTube Analytics grant.
- Unlisted and private videos.
