# Credits

Your workspace's one prepaid balance for texts, email, WhatsApp, numbers, calls, recording and AI, with top-ups, auto-recharge, what uses credits, usage, the ledger and the rate card.

Credits are the workspace's prepaid balance for everything PYLO charges by use: texts, email and numbers PYLO provides, AI the workspace pays for, call minutes, call recording, transcription and keeping recordings. It used to be called the messaging wallet and lived under Messaging; the old address opens this page.

The balance is held in the workspace currency, and amounts are never converted between currencies. Nothing is used on credit: something the balance cannot cover is refused or held until credits are added, and the owner gets a task when the balance falls below the threshold and again when it runs out.

Your own Twilio, email provider, Close, GoHighLevel or Fathom are never charged to credits. They bill you directly.

## Add credits

Pick an amount (5.00 to 10,000.00) or type your own, then **Add**. You pay on the payment provider's own page and come back here when it is done. The page then says the funds are on the way and checks every 5 seconds, for up to a minute, until the credit shows in the ledger. The card you pay with is saved, and the balance card shows it.

## Auto-recharge

Set a threshold and an amount. Before it can be turned on, the page shows the sentence you agree to: when the balance drops below the threshold, the card saved from your last top-up is charged the amount automatically. It needs a card from a previous top-up, and it can be turned off at any time. If a recharge fails, for example the bank declines the card, auto-recharge turns itself off and the card says why.

## What uses credits

The page lists each kind of use with what it is charged on, and each feature with who pays for it:

- **Uses credits.** The feature is paid from your credits.
- **Included.** PYLO pays for it. Workspaces that were running before credits arrived keep their AI included until PYLO tells them otherwise.
- **Coming.** A feature that is on its way, such as the dialler or the recorder. It will use credits from the start.

AI is priced by the tokens the model reads and writes. When you ask something, PYLO sets aside an estimate before the model is asked, then charges what the answer really used and gives the rest back, all before you see the answer. If your credits do not cover the estimate, PYLO says so in one sentence and the model is not asked.

Calls, recording and transcription are charged per started minute, and a call's price depends on the country called.

## Banners

- **Credits are low.** The balance is under the threshold. Add credits or turn on auto-recharge.
- **Credits ran out.** The balance cannot cover the next message, so sending and anything else paid from credits is paused. Held messages go out once credits are added.

## Usage

For 7, 30 or 90 days: spend by day as a chart, by kind (texts, email, number rental, AI generation, call minutes, recording and so on) and by feature, with how many times each was used.

## Ledger

Every line, newest first: top-ups as credits, everything else as spend, with the balance after each line. An AI answer shows as an amount set aside and then settled. **Show more** reads the next page, and **Export CSV** downloads the whole period with amounts as plain numbers beside their currency code.

## Rate card

What each thing costs, grouped into AI, call minutes, recording and transcription, texts, email and numbers, and WhatsApp, to the exact fraction of a cent. Carrier and registration fees are passed on at cost.

The card opens in the workspace's own currency, and the switch at the top shows it in the other currencies PYLO keeps one in. A row without a price yet carries a **Needs a price** pill, each group counts its unpriced rows, and the note at the top says how many are missing. While any is missing, credits cannot be topped up or used in that currency.

WhatsApp is priced per message: Twilio's fee on every message in and out, plus Meta's fee for a template, which depends on its category (marketing, utility or authentication) and the contact's country. A reply inside the 24-hour window carries no Meta fee.
