# Billing

Your current plan, this workspace's seat usage, and how to upgrade to Pro or switch to Basic.

Billing shows which plan your workspace is on, how many seats are in use, and the plans you can move to. For how the plans compare in full, see [Billing and plans](/docs/billing-and-plans).

## Who can open it

Owners, admins and ops users. Anyone else does not see Billing in the Settings menu and is sent back to Account if they open the address.

## Current plan

The first card names your plan, Basic or Pro. The amount you pay is on your invoice rather than on this card, because the invoice knows whether you pay monthly or yearly. If your workspace joined before the current lineup, the card says so and states the seats each workspace actually includes, which can be more than the plan card shows.

If PYLO cannot load your billing details, the card shows the pending dash and "Awaiting data" instead of guessing.

## Seat usage

The second card shows how many of this workspace's included seats are in use. Seats are counted per workspace: Basic includes 5 and Pro includes 10. The line underneath says how many are free, or how many members are past the included seats and what each costs a month. Members past the included seats are always added, never refused. Inactive members do not use a seat. You invite new members from [Team](/docs/features/team).

## Available plans

There are two plans: Basic at £49 a month or £490 a year, and Pro at £99 a month or £990 a year. Each card lists its prices, its seats and what it includes. Pro adds payment plans, traceable metrics and Agency OS to everything in Basic, along with a larger AI allowance. The card for the plan you are on reads "Your plan".

### Upgrade to Pro

1. Choose `Upgrade to Pro` on the Pro card.
2. If you already pay, the difference for this cycle goes on your card on file. Otherwise you are taken to a checkout run by Paddle.
3. Your plan changes once the payment clears. Starting checkout on its own does not change anything.

### Switch to Basic

1. Choose `Switch to Basic` on the Basic card.
2. The change takes effect at your next renewal, and you keep Pro until then.

If your agency uses more seats or workspaces than Basic allows, the switch is refused and the message tells you what is in the way.

## Charges beyond your plan

Two things are charged beyond your plan, both on your next invoice: seats past a workspace's included seats, at £19 a month on Basic or £15 on Pro, and client workspaces past the ones your plan includes, at £49 a month each. On a yearly plan both are charged yearly at ten months.

## What changes elsewhere

Moving to Pro unlocks the Pro features across PYLO, including [Agency OS](/docs/agency/dashboard), once payment clears. Moving to Basic removes them from your next renewal.
