# Digests

The recurring answers PYLO sends to Slack or Discord, who can see them, and how to turn one off.

A digest is a question PYLO answers on a schedule and posts to Slack or Discord, such as a funnel summary every Monday morning. This page lists the digests in your workspace so you can see what is going out and stop anything you no longer want.

## Who can open it

Everyone. Digests is one of the two Settings pages every role can open, alongside Account. A digest reads as the member who created it, so a closer's digest carries a closer's view, and this list is where that person can see what is going out under their name and turn it off.

Owners, admins and ops users see every digest in the workspace and can turn any of them off. Everyone else sees only their own.

## Create a digest

You do not create digests on this page. Ask PYLO for one in the dock, in your own words, for example "every Monday at 8, send the funnel summary to the sales channel", and it offers to schedule it.

A digest needs somewhere to go. If Slack or Discord is not connected yet, connect one on [Integrations](/docs/settings/integrations) first. The empty list tells you when this is the case.

## What each digest shows

Each digest in the list shows:

- the question it answers, in the words it was asked
- when it runs and where it is sent
- which role it reads as, which decides what is in the answer
- when it was last sent, or that it has not been sent yet

## Turn a digest off

1. Find the digest in the list.
2. Choose `Turn off`.

The digest disappears from the list and is not sent again. There is no edit button. To change a digest, turn it off and ask PYLO for the one you meant.

If digests are not switched on for your workspace yet, the page says so in place of the list. PYLO switches this on for your workspace.

## What changes elsewhere

Turning a digest off stops its posts to the Slack or Discord channel it was sending to. Nothing else in PYLO changes.
