Getting started

Getting started as an admin

What the admin role can see and do in PYLO, what to do on your first day and the screens you will use most.

Read as Markdown

Admins run a workspace day to day on the owner's behalf. Inside the workspace an admin has the same access as the owner: every screen, every setting and the power to change the plan. The owner is usually the person who signed up, and is the one PYLO emails if a payment on the account fails.

What you can see and do

Related screens are grouped into hubs in the sidebar: open a hub and its pages are tabs across the top. As an admin, EOD in the Team hub opens the team's tracking grid, and Payments shows every payment in the workspace rather than only your own.

In Settings you can open every page, including Programs, Plans, Targets and capacity, End of day questions, Import, Commission, Internal bookings, Flows, Audit log, Embedded apps, Billing, Integrations, Tools, Layout and API tokens.

Admins do not get a personal monthly target prompt and do not file an end of day report. Those belong to closers, setters and SDRs.

Some screens need the Pro plan: the Agency Dashboard, Funnel, Leaderboard, Payouts, Competitions, Resources and Rep levels, and CSV export on lists such as Leads, Payments and Post-call. On Basic they send you back to My Board. See Billing and plans.

Your first day

  1. Sign in with the secure link from your invite email.
  2. Open Home. The Set up your workspace card shows any setup steps that are still open, each with an Open button and, for many of them, Ask PYLO to do this. If the owner has not finished setup, you can pick it up from here. The steps are described on Getting started as an owner.
  3. Check Team. Make sure every rep has the right role and commission rates, and use Invite member with Email them a secure login link for anyone not yet added. A member who has never signed in keeps a resend-invite control.
  4. Check Integrations so calls, bookings and payments are arriving. See Connectors.
  5. Review the questions each role answers at the end of the day in End of day questions.

Screens you will use most

  • Home, to ask the assistant about cash this month, show and close rates over the last 30 days, overdue instalments and who is closing.
  • The EOD tracking grid, to see who has reported today and read each submission. See End of day reports.
  • Post-call, to find calls whose form is still missing on the Incomplete tab.
  • Payments and Payouts, for collected cash, instalments and commission owed.
  • Agency Dashboard and Leaderboard, for the team's figures on Pro.
  • Digests, to see and turn off recurring answers PYLO sends to Slack or Discord. You ask for a digest in the assistant dock and turn it off here.
