Getting started

Getting started as a setter

What a setter can see and do in PYLO, what to do on your first day and the screens you will use most.

Read as Markdown

As a setter, your month in PYLO is measured on the calls you book and on how many of them turn up. You confirm leads before they reach a closer, and you file an end of day report that records your outreach. Everything you see is about your own work unless your manager has given you wider access.

What you can see and do

Your sidebar shows Home, My Board, Dashboard (with tabs for the Agency Dashboard, Funnel and Leaderboard), Leads, Post-call, Webinars, EOD and Payments. The other hubs hold screens for owners and admins, so a hub you can open only one page of simply shows as that page.

  • Post-call gives you the Confirm a lead tab, which closers do not have.
  • Payments shows the payments attributed to you as setter or closer.
  • Funnel counts application stages for the whole workspace, and the call and EOD stages are yours.
  • The Agency Dashboard, Funnel and Leaderboard need your workspace to be on the Pro plan. On Basic they send you back to My Board.

In Settings you can open Account, to change your own password, and Digests, to see and turn off recurring answers you asked PYLO to send to Slack or Discord.

Your manager can give you team EOD access, which makes the EOD link open the team's tracking grid, and full team commission data, which shows commission across the whole team.

Your first day

  1. Sign in with the secure link in your invite email. No password is needed.
  2. Set your targets. At the start of each month PYLO asks for them before anything else. As a setter you are asked for Calls booked, and optionally Calls that showed. You can choose No target yet instead: your board then shows the target as unset rather than zero, and PYLO asks again next month.
  3. Install the rep app on your phone and turn on notifications. See The rep app and push notifications.
  4. Confirm your leads. On Post-call, open Confirm a lead, search by name, email or phone, and add anything the closer should know before the call.
  5. Send your end of day report before you finish.

Your end of day report

Open EOD in the sidebar or the EOD tab in the rep app. Booked in Calendly fills itself from the Calendly bookings created today. You then enter your own counts:

  • New inbounds, new outbounds and follow-ups
  • Calls pitched
  • Calls booked, which is your own count and can differ from Calendly
  • Dials, pickups and conversations

You can add hours worked, answer four reflection questions, and tick Inbox clear? and Call reminders done?. Your workspace may add questions of its own. See End of day reports.

If you also take calls, the rep app's Log a past call lets you say whether you closed the call or set it.

Screens you will use most

  • Home. The suggested questions for a setter are whether your EOD is in today, your calls today, your show rate this month and where you rank on the leaderboard.
  • My Board, which by default shows My sets, My show rate, My calls and My commission, with your target.
  • Post-call, for Confirm a lead.
  • End of day reports, every day.
  • Leaderboard, on Pro.
