Affiliate signups

How reps log signups on an affiliate funnel, what each status means, how signups are matched to the program's data, and the view across several funnels.

Read as Markdown

On an affiliate funnel a sale is a signup to another company's product, made through the creator's affiliate link. Each signup is logged here the day it happens, so the program's own report can be matched to the rep who made it. The program is set up on Affiliate funnel.

Who can open it

Everyone in a workspace with an affiliate program. A rep sees their own signups and figures. Owners, admins and ops members see everyone's, log a signup for anyone, void one, and see what is unmatched.

The top of the page shows your own affiliate link, carrying your Shared ID, so signups through it are tied to you. If your Shared ID is not set, the page says so: ask an admin to set it on the team page. When the workspace has a sales portal, Open the sales portal opens it.

Log a signup

  1. Pick the Day it happened.
  2. Choose How it happened: on a booked call, on a dial, after a call, over DM, or on their own through the link. A signup on a booked call names the call.
  3. Name the buyer with at least one of Buyer's name, Buyer's email and Buyer's phone.
  4. If they signed up with another email, put it in Email they used on the program. This is often what lets the program's report find the sale.
  5. Add the Plan (monthly or yearly), the Tier, Where they heard of it, a Screenshot of the confirmation as an https link, and any Objections they raised.
  6. Choose Log the signup.

Logging the same buyer again updates the first record rather than making a second. A signup your agent drafted opens here filled in: check it, then log it.

Statuses

StatusMeans
ReportedLogged, not yet seen in the program's data
Confirmed, inside the windowThe program reports it, and its window has not passed
RetainedKept past the window, so the program pays for it
ReversedCancelled or refunded inside the window
Checked by a personChecked by hand, where the workspace has no program data
VoidRemoved by an owner, admin or ops member, with the reason

Matched by says how the program's record found the sale: its sub ID, the buyer's email, the program email or the phone, or not matched. "rep differs" means the program's Shared ID names someone else.

Unmatched

Owners, admins and ops members see four lists for the dates shown:

  • Signups the program reports that no rep logged. Link each to a logged sale, or to a rep when there is no sale.
  • Sales logged that the program has not reported. Usually the buyer used another email, or the program has not caught up.
  • End-of-day signups with no sale logged. A count on an end of day report is never counted as a sale. This shows the gap so it can be logged.
  • Signups where the Shared ID names a different rep from the one who logged it.

Every funnel at once

A sales manager who is an owner, admin or ops member of several workspaces opens /affiliate to see every affiliate funnel they manage side by side: opt-ins, signups kept, pending and reversed, opt-in to signup, yearly share, the program's commission and ad spend, each in its own currency, with when each source was last read. An agency sees the same, with its own share, on Affiliate funnels.
