Calls

Dialer

Call leads from the browser, one at a time through a list, with a disposition after every call and recording where the law allows.

Read as Markdown

PYLO's dialer calls leads from your browser, in place of Close's dialer or GoHighLevel's phone system. Every call lands in the same dial records your Close or Twilio imports fill, so pick-up rates, speed to lead and your cadence rules keep working without any change.

Who can use it

Every team member, once an owner has set the dialer up in Settings, Dialer. Agency operators who are not on the workspace's team cannot place calls.

Calling a lead

  • Call on a lead's page, or the phone icon on a row in Leads, places the call. The panel at the bottom right of every page shows it: who you are calling, the number, the time on the call, Mute, Keypad and Hang up.
  • The panel stays put while you move between pages, so you can open the lead's application during the call.
  • The call goes out from your own number, or one in the lead's area code or state when the workspace has one (local presence).
  • PYLO checks first, and tells you why when it will not dial: the number is on the do-not-call list, the lead opted out of everything, it is outside the hours the lead may be called where they live, or the law's limit of calls in 24 hours is reached (three in Florida, Maryland, Oklahoma and Oregon).
  • Type notes while you talk. They are kept with the call.

After every call

The panel asks how it went: Connected, No answer, Voicemail, Bad number, Call back, Booked, Not interested, Do not call, and any your workspace added. You cannot start the next call in a list until you pick one.

  • Call back asks for a time. The callback shows under Callbacks in the panel, counts toward callbacks kept on Activity, and becomes a Call back task in your tasks, due then.
  • Booked: while the call is on, and again when you pick Booked, the panel offers Book the call, which opens your live booking page with the lead's name, email and phone already filled in.
  • Do not call puts the number on the workspace's do-not-call list straight away.

Working through a list

The Dialer page builds a list from one of your saved views, in the view's own order, or from lead status, tags and when leads came in, newest first, and gives you one lead at a time.

  • The next lead loads once you save the last call's disposition. PYLO never rings more than one lead at a time, so nobody answers to silence.
  • A lead who may not be called now is skipped with the reason, shown under Skipped: do not call, do not disturb, outside their calling hours, the law's limit, or called too recently by your workspace's cadence rules (no more than the calls a day and at least the gap set on Activity).
  • End the list whenever you like. Starting a new one ends the old one.

Voicemail drop

Add a short recording or two under Your voicemails on the Dialer page. When a call reaches a voicemail box, Drop voicemail leaves your recording on the beep and frees you for the next lead. It is off until an owner confirms your opt-in forms collect consent to prerecorded calls, which US and UK law require for a recorded message.

Recording

Calls are recorded where the law allows. Where the lead's state or country needs everyone told first (California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington and the other all-party states, Canada and the UK), the workspace's disclosure plays to the lead as they answer, before you are connected. Where recording needs the lead's own yes (the EU), recording starts only when you press Record (they agreed). The panel says on each call whether it is being recorded.

Incoming calls

A call to your number rings in the panel wherever you are in PYLO. Answer or decline it. If nobody answers, the caller hears the workspace's greeting and can leave a message.

Credits

With numbers from PYLO, calls cost credits by the minute, by country, and recording by the recorded minute. PYLO holds up to an hour before a call (less when your credits cover less, and the panel says how many minutes) and gives back what was not used; a call nobody answers costs nothing. A call ends when it reaches what was held, and you hear why. When credits cover less than a minute the call does not go, and the panel says so. A call to one of your numbers is answered only while credits cover at least a minute; otherwise the caller hears that the number cannot take calls right now. PYLO checks calling hours, the do-not-call list and the daily call limits again at the moment the call connects. With your own Twilio, Twilio bills you directly and nothing is taken from credits.
