Dialer
Set up the dialer with numbers from PYLO or your own Twilio, give each rep a number, and choose recording, calling hours, dispositions and voicemail drop.
Settings, Dialer is where an owner sets up PYLO's dialer and decides how calls are made.
Who can open it
Owners and admins.
Connection
- Numbers from PYLO. PYLO runs the numbers on its own Twilio, for your workspace alone. Numbers and calls are paid from Credits.
- Your own Twilio. Paste your Account SID and auth token. PYLO keeps the token encrypted and never shows it again. Twilio bills you for calls directly.
Either way PYLO sets up what the browser needs on that account. Connect again repairs it if something changed.
Numbers
Give each rep a local number, or share one with the team. With numbers from PYLO, search an area code and buy one: the first month comes from credits and it renews monthly. With your own Twilio, Add from your Twilio lists your numbers. Make default picks the number calls use when nothing closer fits; Release gives a PYLO number back.
Recording and calling hours
- Recording. Record where the law allows, or off.
- Disclosure. Where the law needs it (the default), on every recorded call, or never. Never needs a ticked warning, because recording without telling the lead breaks the law in the all-party states, Canada and the UK; who turned it off is kept.
- What the lead hears first. Your disclosure, which must say the call may be recorded.
- Calling hours. Your window in the lead's own time. The law's hours for the lead's state or country always apply too: 8am to 9pm federally, shorter in states such as Florida, Texas on Sundays, and Canada's CRTC hours.
- Ring for. How long a lead's phone rings, 15 to 60 seconds.
- Local presence. Call from a number in the lead's area code or state when you have one.
- A texting opt-out also stops calls. Off by default: a STOP to your texts does not stop a rep's call unless you turn this on. Do not disturb for every channel always stops calls.
Voicemail drop
Tick that your opt-in forms collect consent to prerecorded calls to turn voicemail drop on, and choose whether PYLO leaves the voicemail by itself on the beep. It never does that for UK numbers, where the rep clicks.
Dispositions
The built-in ones are always there. Add your own, such as Gatekeeper, each counted as one of the built-in ones in reports.
Incoming calls
A call to a rep's number rings that rep. A shared number rings everyone ticked here. Set the greeting a caller hears when nobody answers.
Do not call
PYLO never dials a number on this list. Anyone on the team can add one, and a rep picking Do not call after a call adds it. Taking a number off is kept on record with who did it.
