Calls
Recordings
Recorded dialer calls and booked video calls, with a transcript that follows the audio, the notes PYLO writes, the AI review and what each cost.
Recordings is where PYLO keeps the calls it recorded: calls made in the dialer, and booked Google Meet and Zoom calls its note taker joined. Each one has the audio, a transcript with the rep and the lead labelled, notes, the AI review when the call was a booked call, and what it cost in credits.
An owner turns the recorder on, for each kind of call, in Settings, Recorder. Until then nothing is recorded by PYLO and Fathom keeps working as it does today.
Who sees what
- A rep sees their own dialer calls. Owners, admins and ops see every dialer call.
- A closer sees the booked calls they hosted. Owners and admins see every booked call.
- Nobody else, setters included, sees a booked call's recording, the same rule as Fathom's transcripts.
A recording you may not see does not show in the list, and its page reads "not found".
A recording's page
- The player and the transcript move together. As the call plays, the line being said is highlighted and kept in view (turn off Follow along to read ahead). Click any line to play from it.
- Search finds words inside the transcript and steps through each line that has them.
- Download saves the audio. Links to the audio expire after ten minutes and are made fresh each time.
- Notes: a short summary, the key points, each objection the lead raised, the next steps agreed, and a line on how the lead felt.
- AI review: a booked call's transcript goes to the same review Fathom's transcripts get, so its scores, objections and coaching show here and on the lead's call. A setter's dial that is not a booked call keeps its notes and is not scored against the closing framework.
- Credits: what this recording cost, by recording, transcription, storage and the AI notes.
- Keeping it: how long the audio and transcript are kept, and whether Twilio's or Recall.ai's copy was deleted.
The lead's page shows each call's PYLO recording on the call, and its other recorded dialer calls above the calls. The dialer's Your calls today links each recorded call's Notes.
Deleting a recording
Owners and admins can delete a recording from its page, for example when a lead asks. The audio (and any copy Twilio or Recall.ai still keeps), the transcript and the notes are removed, here and in the copy the AI review read. Who deleted it, when and why are kept in the recording's audit trail.
When a recording waits
- Waiting for credits: the workspace's credits did not cover transcribing and keeping it. It carries on by itself after a top-up.
- Not transcribed: another recorder, such as Fathom, already transcribed that call, or nobody spoke.
- Stopped: something failed more than once. The page says why, and an owner can press Try again.
